ELEY METROLOGY has launched a new and cost effective CMM software package for the UK market. ARCO CAD is a native DMIS system, from Metro Staff of Italy. This new powerful, user-friendly and modular software includes ARCO QUICK, GRAPHIC and CAD, for use on manual or CNC, bridge type, cantilever and portable arm CMMs.

Used already by Coord3 of Italy, this is a tried and tested software package that gives UK CMM operators a new option when considering whether to upgrade to DMIS software. Eley Metrology are offering flexible upgrades with the new Renishaw UCCLite and UCC2 controllers and ARCO software, providign a flexible and cost effective solution for any make of CMM.

ARCO is a world class dimensional metrology software, an integrated solution for measuring prismatic parts, edges and free form surfaces, in manual, point-to-point and continuous scanning modes. It is integrated with several leading controllers and can support 3D laser scanners. Features include offline programming and simulation, and reverse engineering.

ARCO supports all phases of the inspection cycle: from part programming to program debugging and final execution and reporting with statistics. The inspection part programming language is DMIS, and supports all native CAD data formats, in addition to traditional neutral formats.

The ARCO engine fully supports the latest version of DMIS language; and because the DMIS code is directly executed no translator is required. DMIS guarantees the portability of all programs created with ARCO and graphical programming and reporting are assured by a proprietary geometric and graphic engine. This is able to connect original CAD file geometry with inspection data and alignments.
