Upgrades Eley Metrology offers upgrades and retrofits to CMM's ranging from PC and software upgrades to full CNC retrofits. Using the latest technology from Renishaw, the UCC Lite and UCC2 controllers offer a range of combinations to suit every kind of application. From manual CMMs, to CNC and scanning machines there is an upgrade solution from Eley Metrology. With our range of software, True Measure and Arco CAD, we can offer software upgrades or a full retrofit including the Renishaw controllers. Upgrades retrofits and repairs can be carried to a wide range of makes of CMM, both bridge type and cantilever arm, makes that we have upgraded range from Mitutoyo, LK, Zeiss, DEA, Brown & Sharpe, W&A, Status, Kemco, QCT, IMS, Ferranti, Johannsen, Leitz, Sheffield, Starrett, Hexagon, Tesa, Eastman, Faro, Poli, Wenzel, Aberlink, Mora, Crown Windley, Portage, ITP, Stiefelmeyer and many more. The UCC is compact and versatile in its use and is ideally compatible with all other Renishaw products such as linear encoder systems and probe systems. It is also used in conjunction with the Renishaw SPA servo control system for even more versatility. The systems when together are small and compact and able to fit discreetly under the machine operator’s desk. Repairs if necessary would be carried out on a complete unit exchange, thus reducing downtime incurred by component repair etc. Depending on the size of your machine, whether it is manual or CNC, and also whether you are or intend to use scanning probes, we can offer different combinations of this family of products. CMM build technology hasn’t moved on a great deal in the last 15 years or so, therefore old machines can be maintained in perfectly good working order if the electronics and software are upgraded from time to time. Why pay for a new CMM when you can upgrade your old one? Machines built 15 years ago from durable materials (such as the all granite Eley CMMs) are mechanically sound. Don’t buy a new machine until you ask us for an upgrade quotation!
