Gantry CMM

Eley Metrology offers Gantry CMMs; custom built for measuring very large parts. Despite such a large measuring range, these machines can attain precision levels normally associated with much smaller 3D Coordinate Measuring Machines.

Gantry style CMM machines have a frame structure raised on side supports so as to span over the object to be measured or scanned. Gantry machines are similar in construction to bridge style designs.

The gantry architecture is the ideal solution for all measurement applications for large-sized precision components, such as large diesel engines, jet engine components, aircraft wing structures, columns of printing machines, satellites, large machine tool parts etc.
