Metrology Standards

CROWN WINDLEY has almost a 100 years experience in the manufacture and maintenance of Metrology Standards Equipment. Naturally, with UKAS accreditation, the Metrology equipment we produce is of the highest standard.

For example, our granite tables are finished by hand lapping to an accuracy of either Grade 0, 1 or 2 complying with BS 817 (1988). The tables are supplied with a quality, welded construction box section stand giving a working height of 34". Five adjustable points of support are provided for easy levelling, 3 being primary points, with 2 outriggers for stability. Every plate is supplied with a UKAS Calibration Certificate. We also supply specially formulated granite cleaning fluid in a useful concentrated form.
