metrology software VIRTUAL DMIS. This is a product from IMS (International Metrology Systems)
and answers the industry need for DMIS (Dimensional Measurement Interface Standard) type software.
Virtual DMIS is engineered to fully utilize the power and capabilities of this measuring technology
standard.

With its unique Patented Iconized DMIS program interface, Virtual DMIS has created
for DMIS what Microsoft Windows did for DOS - a smart and friendly program interface
making DMIS usable by all.
Using the latest software development tools, and CAD and CMM industry standards,
Virtual DMIS enables, without compromise, seamless collection, analysis, visualization
and communication of quality data throughout the manufacturing environment, providing
a full-service, software-focused approach to CMM control and Metrology based solutions.

Unlike other DMIS based metrology software Virtual DMIS is “native” DMIS therefore
eliminating the risk of losing data through the use of interpolators.
Eley Metrology already of course writes its own software for measuring machines,
and with it’s extensive service network is ideally placed to offer Virtual DMIS
as an upgrade option on existing CMMs of any make, and also on new CMMs sold by the company.
