FitIT is a revolutionary CAD Comparison and Dimensional Analysis software tool from Eley Metrology Software, which is now available for use with Profile Projectors. This will aid in the automation, graphical representation and reporting of the complete measurement process.

FitIT has been designed to plug a gap in the market between traditional Profile Projector measurement using overlays and fully automated video measurement. By interfacing directly to many current and older digital readouts (eg. QC200, QC2000 etc) FitIT can offer much improved usability to many existing Projector users who would otherwise need to make a large capital investment on new metrology equipment to provide automated measurement, analysis and reporting.

FitIT automatically compares, aligns and best fits measured profile data directly to a CAD model. It can reverse engineer a CAD template (e.g. DXF), apply uniform or non-uniform profile tolerances and provide dimensional, statistical and graphical analysis.

Most importantly, FitIT will produce a full graphical and dimensional report that can either be printed or saved in a number of formats including HTML and PDF providing a tangible output and traceability of the inspection process, which up until now has not been obtainable with a Projector.

In conclusion FitIT is a 32bit Contour and geometric analysis software, for use with both contact and non-contact measuring applications. It has multiple CAD and Data import facilities together with almost limitless fitting capabilities. The easy to use interface and macro facilities ensure a smooth learning curve giving straightforward integration into either a production or ‘one-off’ environment. Comprehensive graphical and dimensional reporting facilities ensure that the output clear and easy to understand for users and customers alike.
