30th ANNIVERSARY FOR ELEY METROLOGY

Eley Metrology, based in Derby, are celebrating their 30th anniversary in October this year. Eley are justifiably proud of the fact that they remain a truly British manufacturer of Co-ordinate Measuring Machines (Truth & Millenium), Height Gauges (the best selling Micro Vertex), Metrology Software and Standards.

The Eley Group of companies includes Eley Metrology Software Ltd, producer of the market leading best fit software (Fit It, True Shape), Eley Sales & Service Ltd, a UKAS accredited company for CMM calibration, upgrade and repair services, Eley Metrology Ltd which manufactures the hardware, and also Crown Windley.

100 years old this year; Crown Windley is the renowned British manufacturer of granite & cast iron surface plates and metrology standards, and horizontal arm CMMs.

Eley is also the exclusive UK distributor for the De Meet range of non-contact CNC video measuring machines, manufactured by Schut of the Netherlands.

Eley have recently strengthened their sales & marketing team, with the addition of Ian Kent as Group Sales Manager and Gary Bates as Group Sales Executive.

Ian is degree qualified with over 15 years experience of sales and marketing in a variety of industries, both in the UK and overseas, most recently with Tesa Technology. Gary joins Eley with a wealth of engineering and metrology experience. He is a time-served engineer, who spent over 12 years working for Rolls Royce.

Since then Gary has held various technical sales roles with leading metrology companies including Taylor Hobson, CE Johannson, LK and Tesa Technology.
